Sinks and taps

Stainless steel remains the practical default: light, forgiving and easy to fit inset or undermounted. Ceramic and Belfast sinks suit traditional kitchens but need a supporting base and careful worktop cut-out. Composite sinks resist scratching and hold colour with the worktop. Match the tap to the supply — a low-pressure gravity system needs a tap rated for it, while boiling water taps and filter taps need an under-sink unit, a spare socket and space in the cupboard. Pull-out spray taps are the easiest win in a busy kitchen.

Units, worktops and appliances

Base, wall, tall and drawer units set the layout; worktop choice then follows use and budget, from laminate through solid wood to quartz and granite. Leave the appliance decisions until the layout is fixed, because hob type dictates the services: induction needs the right circuit and cable, gas needs a certified connection, and every hob needs extraction sized for the room. Check appliance aperture dimensions against the unit before ordering rather than after delivery.

Installation products and design

The parts that hold a kitchen fit up are usually the small ones: flexible tap connectors, isolating valves, washing machine and dishwasher valves, waste kits and trap sets, appliance hoses, sealant and fixings. Order them with the main goods so the second fix is not delayed. If a customer is planning a full replacement, our 3D kitchen design service lets them see the layout and finishes before anything is ordered.

Kitchens & Kitchen Products — frequently asked questions

What kitchen products can I order?

Kitchen sinks, taps, base and wall units, worktops, built-in appliances, waste and trap kits, appliance valves and kitchen accessories.

Do you offer kitchen design?

Yes — our 3D kitchen design service helps you plan the layout and product choices before you order.

Which kitchen tap works with low water pressure?

Choose a tap rated for low pressure or gravity-fed systems. Boiling water and filter taps need mains pressure plus an under-sink unit and a power supply.

Can I fit an undermount sink to my existing worktop?

Only if the worktop material is a solid surface such as quartz, granite or solid wood that can support an exposed cut edge. Laminate worktops are not usually suitable for undermount fitting.

How many tap holes do I need?

A standard mono mixer needs one hole. Traditional two-tap arrangements, or a mixer paired with a separate filter or boiling water tap, need two or three holes, so check the sink or worktop configuration before ordering.

Do boiling water taps need a special electrical supply?

Yes, the under-sink tank needs its own dedicated electrical spur. This should be installed by a qualified electrician alongside the plumbing connection.

What waste kit do I need for a 1.5 bowl sink?

A 1.5 bowl typically uses a linked waste kit so both bowls drain through a shared trap, particularly useful if a dishwasher also connects into the same outlet.
